Your wedding in Spain

As a destination photographer I have captured weddings pretty much everywhere, but plying my trade in southern Spain has meant that I have become particularily fond of some specific venues in this part of the world which are always guaranteed to provide the perfect setting for wedding celebrations, and a gorgeous backdrop for the happy couple’s wedding photography.

MY FAVOURITE WEDDING VENUES IN SPAIN:

There is no doubt that southern Spain has always been a top destination for brides and grooms around the world who come here to exchange their vows and celebrate their union, and even in these tough days of pandemic where travel restrictions, economic hardships, and uncertainty about the future, the lure of guaranteed sunshine, warm temperatures, beautiful locations and stunning beaches have kept this part of the world which I call home a favourite with wedding couples from far and wide. Add to the mix a culture that prides itself on its hospitality, diversity, and its love of eating well, dancing, and letting the cerveza flow all night, and the scene is set for the perfect wedding celebration.

Wedding venues Andalusia:

El Cortijo del Marques, Granada:

Starting from further afield in the province of Granada, are two stunning locations, one is a beautiful Cortijo with it’s own chapel situated just outside of the province’s capital:

El Alhambra, Granada:

The other is one of the most iconic collection of buildings in the whole of Spain, nestled right in the center of Granada itself, the world famous complex of royal palaces from the Moors to the Kings of the Spanish empire:

wedding venues in Malaga:

Fort Ingles:

Closer to home, just outside of Malaga is this charming Cortijo close to Mijas and Alhaurin:

El Castillo de Santa Catalina:

And in the heart of Malaga town, this wonderful listed building doubles up as a boutique hotel overlooking the bay.

Wedding Venues Costa del Sol:

Finca la Concepcion, Marbella:

This magnificent property offers a stunning landscape dotted with ancient palm trees, avocado and custard-apple trees, orange groves and a sea of almond trees.

At the heart of this beautiful setting is the grand manor house whose main entrance was previously a church, built two centuries ago. The ruins of the foundry can also still be found and serve as a fascinating reminder of the origins of this site.

Villa Cisne, Estepona:

This gorgeous mansion in Estepona is one of the most fabulous private venues on the coast, with its expansive grounds and private access to the beach.

Cortijo Bravo, Nerja:

This contemporary building reminiscent of an old 19th century Andalusian cottage, sits in a natural setting that offers peace and quiet and gorgeous views to the coast and over the surrounding countryside.

Wedding venues costa tropical:

Casa de los Bates, Motril:

This unique 19th century building, cataloged as an artistic historical monument of the City of Motril and situated in the heart of the Costa Tropical of Granada, sits on top of a hill with fantastic views to the sea, the Sierra Nevada, the “Vega” of Motril and Salobreña.
